By the time you finish reading this you will understand several key areas in which our meditation on the Word of God pleases Him.
Christian Meditation to Seek God’s Presence
We are to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. (Matthew 6:33) Christ encourages us to put ourselves in harmony with the Father. God is pleased when His children seek His face.
Christians are to seek and dig into God’s Word, which is ‘God-breathed’ and profitable for us. (2 Timothy 3:16) It is in the process of meditating that believers hear from God and are drawn closer into His presence.
Christian Meditation to Live by Faith
The Bible tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. And then we are instructed in Romans 10:17 to increase our faith by hearing and hearing the Word of God.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” – Hebrews 11:6
Prayer and meditation, as a way of life, allow us to talk to and hear from God throughout the day. The just shall live by faith. (Hebrews 10:38) The same verse goes on to say that God is not pleased with those who draw back.
God is pleased when we live by faith daily; and not only on Sunday’s or special occasions. Prayer and meditation allow us to exercise our faith and make it grow stronger.
Christian Meditation to Honor God
Meditation puts us in a position of letting God reveal His purpose and will for our lives; in order to keep us on a peaceful and prosperous path. God is glorified when we get results. And results come from meditating on His Word.
Meditating on God’s Word taps us into the wisdom, revelation knowledge, and abundant supply of the Almighty Creator of the Universe. He is glorified when we bear much fruit from our prayer and meditation time in His presence.
Psalm 19:14 states, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord.”
Meditation is also a form of worship. We honor God when we fill our thoughts and hearts with His Word and act on it. God is pleased to hear His Word come out of our mouth in praise and thanksgiving.
Believe me: Meditation is a powerful spiritual practice that we do in the natural to prove that we believe, trust, and love God. Now get out there and let the prayer and meditation of your heart be pleasing to God!
