Finding Your Clever Mind

To pass an exam well, you need to have put in the study time. I’m not proud of the fact that I have neglected to do this until the last minute several times. Here’s my advice on how to achieve an acceptable grade.

Getting yourself mentally prepared is the first step to being able to study for your exam. Don’t start stressing out and getting yourself all worked up, that will make you unable to study. The worst you can do is fail.

Even the cleverest people have been known to get an F in their time, it isn’t the end of the world and it will give you the motivation to make sure that you don’t get another one. Do all your coursework and concentrate on what you are learning, the less revision you have to do the better.

Know the penny has dropped that you aren’t a failure if you get an F, you can take those important steps to make sure that you don’t get another one. Stay focussed and relaxed.

Getting a high grade without all the hours of study is something that dreams are made of, but it is achievable. It will also be one in the eye for all the class swots when they see what you’ve achieved.

The old saying ‘don’t bite off more than you can chew’ comes to mind here. Don’t try and absorb pages of pages of facts and figures, break it done into sections and learn one at a time. Only when you are confident that you are fully savvy with one section should you move onto the next.

As you are now only taking in a small amount of information at a time, your brain is absorbing it and storing it. When you do the next piece, and the next, these pieces will all click into place like a jigsaw puzzle.

If you were thinking you were only able to achieve an F previously, all this extra knowledge you ingested through these nuggets of information should bring you a D, or even more.
