There is an assumption that depression is a condition that can only be tackled by health professionals, that it will only respond to pharmaceuticals. And for this reason so many people end up on an endless circle of drugs which are supposed to treat your depression but may at times be as bad as the depression itself.
Does this describe you? Have you had a seemingly endless succession of drugs to take? Do you find that you can’t sleep at night? That you’ve put on weight? That one drug seems to lead to another to combat the effects of the first drug? That after a while it’s almost impossible to get off some of these drugs because some of them are addictive?
Do you wish you didn’t feel medicated any more? That the cure is worse than the cause? That your life has been taken over by drugs?
It’s not uncommon to feel like that. Once your diagnosed with depression it can be one long slippery slope of pharmaceuticals. But not everyone needs to feel like this, because there are sometimes some simple natural depression cures that can make a big difference.
And that doesn’t even mention the cost. A diagnosis of depression can be almost as bad as handing your wallet over to your doctor, or the pharmacy. How much do all those drugs cost day after day, week after week and month after month. Wouldn’t you just love to have a month when you don’t have to pull your wallet out, again, and spend up big on more drugs, again.
There are some simple natural depression cures that can cost way less than those drugs, often nothing. They are not addictive. I’ll give you 2 quick examples out of many.
Example number 1. Many studies, beginning at the end of last century, have confirmed a link between eating more fish and much lower rates of depression. They have shown a negative correlation between eating seafood and depression, as the findings are that societies that eat more fish have lower rates of depression. The reason is the Omega 3 fats in fish. This is still being studied.
Number 2. There is a strong link between increasing exercise and lowering depression. There are chemical and psychological reasons why this is so, but it works.
Of course I can’t guarantee if you eat more fish and start jogging you’ll cure your depression, there’s many different causes and cures, but there are also many many natural depression cures and if you try a range of them you may well track down one or more that work for you.
Most are cheap, many free, so you’ll save a lot of money too.
But if you have depression you ought to be aware that drugs aren’t the only way to tackle depression, that there is a wide range of natural treatments for depression. Try them in conjunction with your current treatments and with your doctors consent, but try them. many of them will help you get healthier along the way, not a bad thing either.
So if drugs aren’t working for you and you feel drugged out and broke, see if you too can benefit from some simple natural depression cures.
