Human beings only use a fraction of their brain capacity, according to many studies. So, it’s not really surprising that some of us feel scatter brained. There are ways to keep our minds sharp, though. One of the best is through games.
Logic and memory games are fun and they’re also a fabulous way to keep your mind sharp. Whether you choose logic problems, word searches or crossword puzzles, they all help you think. Even jigsaw puzzles will help you to use your logic and reasoning skills.
One of the nice things about jigsaw puzzles or games that are designed to improve memory and reasoning skills is that many of them can be done with more than one player. So, you can turn them into social events that your entire family can enjoy.
Beyond that, you can even boost your brain power with games that you make up yourself. For example, when I was a kid, my grandfather used to have me make up sentences or rhymes about the license plate letters of the cars in front of us on road trips. I still make up sentences from license plates now and it even helped me to once when I saw a car in front of me hit another car. I was able to recall the license number of the car and the person was later caught. So, memory and word games are not just fun, but they can be very useful.
