How to Relieve Headache Pain Naturally and Safely

Sometimes a headache is only a headache, but at other times it can be a serious health disorder. Cluster headaches are seen in less than one percent of the population, but can be extremely severe in nature. They come on suddenly and will last from just a few minutes to several hours. They can continue off and on for weeks or even months at a time, making it very difficult to perform normal daily activities.

Cluster headache pain is typically one-sided. The most common type of pain relief comes in the form of painkillers, but over-the-counter varieties seem to be rather ineffective. Preventive medications are used to prevent the pain from occurring in the first place. The best ways to prevent this type of headache from occurring through natural treatment methods are getting a good amount of sleep, eating a well-balanced and nutritious diet, getting regular daily exercise, and avoiding stress.

Stress prevention can be a big help in relieving or preventing any of these types of headaches, but there are many other ways to treat these disorders successfully. Natural treatments will often give better results than painkillers and without the serious side effects.
