How to Relieve Stress, Be More Successful, Have Better Relationships & Better Health and Happiness

No, it doesn’t involve heavy drugs! It’s a very easy yet powerful technology that anyone can do and involves simply sitting still and closing your eyes for a few minutes a day.

Yes, it’s meditation and there are many different types available. No longer just practiced by Indian gurus sitting cross-legged in a cave, meditation has become pretty mainstream. If you talk to a few people around the water cooler at work you’ll find someone who either does it or knows a friend, family member or colleague who practices it.

Meditation has an ancient history but has a very modern application: namely stress management. Anyone can benefit from this simple practice and almost immediately you will start to see results and reap the rewards. Personally, meditation has helped me get rid of a lot of stress, improve many areas of my life, and allowed me to make many much needed life changes.

There’s no need to buy into any type of philosophy or religion or change yours. Meditation is a small addition to your daily life and simply requires a quiet place and a little time twice a day. It’s most beneficial to meditate as soon as you wake up and then again at the end of your workday. This way you get rested, refreshed and energized for the day and evening. You can do it anywhere that you can sit comfortably and close your eyes. It’s preferable to meditate in a quiet room of your home sitting on a chair. However, it’s more important to find a place that’s convenient so that you can meditate twice every day. If you find it’s not convenient or practical to do your late afternoon/evening meditation in your home because of time or work constraints, then meditating in your parked car, in a coffee shop, at the hairdresser’s, or on a park bench are other options.

I have seen many benefits in my own life as well as in friends and family members’ lives. I recommend it to anyone who would like to have less stress and more peace, love, happiness and success in his or her life.

Main Benefits:

There are many different methods of meditation and all are easy to practice and very simple to learn. Some popular methods are: focusing on your breath, fixing your gaze on a candle’s flame, concentrating on and contemplating an idea or concept, repeating a mantra etc.

Any method will work and it’s a good idea to check out various types of meditation to find the one that is most appealing and effective for you. The most important indicator for success (relief of stress) is regularity and consistency of practice. Just 15 – 20 minutes twice a day, every day will give you amazing results. The more consistent you are the quicker you will experience benefits. As you continue with a regular meditation practice you will experience more and more benefits and an increase and depth in your experiences.
