Suggestion:
It may or may not recall the memories if lost memories due to accidents but emotional related memories can be recalled by repeated recognitions of events and individuals as a fresh and are being registered in the memories.
Once again the accidentally at the same point of injuries then memories are being recalled.

no, they keep their emotions. that's a separate center.
