What Part of the Brain is Involved in Learning, Short Term Memory, Spatial Memory, and Damaged by Alzheimer's?

at memoryzine.com scientists say they think the enzyme MMP-9 is responsible for helping the brain remove certain proteings , and improving memory.
much of the brain is involved with memory including the hippocampus
i think alzheimers effects all the neurons, and some think it may be a form of 'brain diabetes'…….

Suggestion:

im afraid the whole brain just rots away bit by bit. Your motor functions just stop working and you stop breathing in the end. its a sort of plaque on the brain i believe.
